My Book Essentials External Hard Drive

After I safely removed the Exteranal Hard Drive and plugged it back in I wanted to do backup but when I went in the Backup and Retrieve button are blackened out and I can't get those back I need to know how thank you.

From the home tab click on on the my book icon to make the backup and retrieve tabs available.

In my "My book essential USB 3.0" the home does the "Back Up" and "Retrieve" tab is blackened and as suggested in one of earlier solution in the forum, I dont see the option to select both the drive i.e. the laptop harddrive and the my book hard drive from the my book tab of the home page. Can I have guidance to resolve the issue.
