I just installed my My Book Essential 1 TB on an HP laptop with Windows 7. Now my computer won’t start with the drive plugged in. It works OK if I unplug the USB connection and then start my computer.
Hello, that could be a problem with the boot order on your PC Bios, you can try selecting the internal hard drive as the fist boot option or disabling the boot from USB device option and the USB Legacy support options. Check if the link below helps.
