My 2TB drive is dead after firmware update failed

Hello

I followed all the instructions and the firmware updater failed after 75% done. And now the drive is not recognized by my mac or my PC. tried updating again on both platforms and nothing. The drive does not spin at all. Working perfect up until I tried to update the firmware. 

Any suggestions???

It may be bricked. I don’t think there is a way to reset the firmware if the update fails. If  the drive is still in warranty call WD.

update: I tried using a  Apollo 1607E Firmware Updater v2.018-v2.019 (1.0.8.6).zip that i found and it seems to have revived my drive. Needed to do it off an old PC vs my mac. Waiting and seeing if it lasts! At least it is spinning and the mac finds it although the lights on the front are now constantly on!

Still waiting on a response from WD.
