I have an old WD2500B011 that I’d used with a Windows XP laptop. I’d like to use this external hard drive again with my Windows 7 PC but this PC won’t accept the CD and I can find no updates. Is there a solution to my problem?

Unfortunately, there are no drivers available for this device related to Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8. The best bet would be to force installation of Windows XP drivers. However, this may result in erratic behavior.
