HD stuck as RAW

I used my drive flawlessly for 2 months as a back up to only store files, not to access or run any programs. After I started my computer and attempted to access my hard drive, I could not access it and it was labeled Local Disk instead of New Volume. The previous time I used the drive it behaved normal and it was uneventful. I went to Disk Management and the drive now shows as Raw. In properties, it’s shown as active and healthy.

I ran cmd.exe and performed chkdsk /f to fix any errors, but it could not be performed

I tried to format it and wipe/clean the drive using Disk Mgmt. and running Diskpart.exe, but it could not be performed.

I tried using http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk but it did not fix the problem.

I used the program Recuva and could access most of the files/folders

I used the Data Lifeguard Diagnostics and got the follow results:
Test Option: QUICK TEST
Model Number: WDC WD20EZRX-00D8PB0
Unit Serial Number: [[Deleted - Trancer]]

Test Option: EXTENDED TEST
Model Number: WDC WD20EZRX-00D8PB0
Unit Serial Number: [[Deleted - Trancer]]
Firmware Number: 80.00A80
Capacity: 2000.40 GB
SMART Status: PASS
Test Result: FAIL
Test Error Code: 08-Too many bad sectors detected.
Test Time: 12:42:19, November 11, 2014

Anyone have any idea what could be the problem? I wanted to ask here first before contacting WD

Thanks

Unfortunately, this hard drive has failed a Data Lifeguard test and it would be best to replace it under warranty. Additional information is available in the following link:
