Opening the drive voids the warranty. If the drive came with Smartware it is hardware encrypted by the board with the broken port. Moving the drive to another enclosure or connecting as an internal won’t work. You can try having the port slodered back on by an electronics repair person or try a board from an identical drive or try to find one on ebay.
