2 - 3TB USB 3.0 drives... Only 1 Recognized

Ok, so I filled up my 1st 3TB USB3.0 MyBook Essential drive. I went and bought another one. It’s all hooked up, updated, and recognized by the WD Software HOWEVER… It says no writable drive found. I switched passwords thinking it may be the fact that both drives had the same passwords on them, but that’s not it.

Any ideas?

With them both connected go into disk management and one will probably need a drive letter assigned and/or to be put online. To put online go down to where it shows the drives as bars it will be like drive 2 and on left side right click and it should be there in list.

One issue…

It said that is is offline due to conflicts with the other 3TB drive as it is “the same signature”. Anyway to change that?

right click on the “offline” area and select Online :)

If kamilpasha’s suggestion doesn’t work, you could also try manually assigning a drive letter to the drive.
