WD External Drives External Drives for Mac

I have a WD 1TB externatal hard drive.

When I start up my PC, it ask to update and when it tries my PC says it was not installed. 

I know it in there. What gives?

Can you say if the message is coming from Windows, Smartware or any other third party application? Aside from this message is the external hard drive working normally?
