ive used my WD 1.5 external harddrive for a year with no problems. unplugging it and moving from place to placeā¦again no problems. recently i went home on leave from the army (with my mac bookpro and my external hd) it also worked fine at home. when i returned back to army some 1300 miles away i took a plane back home because im deploying. now the harddrive jut shows one little white light on the front and my mac doesnt recognize it anymore. i unplugged it (usb) swapped usb cables and ports. turned it on and off. did the airport scanner break it? doesnt anyone know what i can do to fix this?? has anyone had this problem before?
Hi, be sure to connect the USB cable directly to the Mac, avoid using USB extension cables or USB hubs. Also check if the passport is recognized on the disk utility window. Check the link below for the steps.Ā
