I have a WD My Book that I have been using on my Windows PC. I have been utilizing the SmartWare software to maintain the backups. How do I go about connecting this same drive to my new Mac and recover the data stored on it?

Connect the drive to the Mac and open the folder smartware_store that holds your backup files

the drive is read only on the Mac so you can get the files and reformat
