I recently erased the HD on my Mac and reinstalled OSX. I have a 2.0 TB My Book Studio external drive which is already configured and about 50% filled. When I try to reinstall the WD SmartWare that’s on the Virtual CD I get a prompt saying “What would you like to do?” and the options are “Install WD SmartWare” and “Install Drive Settings”. When I select the former option the next screen says “Backup” at the top. I’m afraid to go any further for fear of losing the contents of the drive but I would like to be able to use the software.
What should I do?
