Hi - I just started using my WD external hardrive as a Time Machine backup on my Mac. It’s working fine. But I have an icon on my desktop for the WD Smartdrive CD. When I eject it, it reappears. How do I get rid of it for good?
Do I have to delete of these files from the Hardrive? It’s only 229.7 mb but I just don’t want it showing on the desktop.
Help - thanks in advance for any suggestions.
That’s a Virtual CD, you can remove that with a utility from the WD Web site

That utility allows you to enable or disable the VCD.
