WD My Book Studio LX firmware update failure

WD “My Book Studio LX” firmware update failed, and now my Mac won’t recognized the hard drive, and it’s even not listed on Disk Utility. When I relaunch the WD firmware updater and try to update again, it says "This version of the WD Firmware Updater dose not support the attached drive. Contact technical support for assistance. "

I called the WD support they and been told to send to the recovery lab, that’s the only way.

Any idea to re-upload the firmware to My Book Studio LX?

And any other recommendations ?

I’m sure i was using this one to update the firmware, when I was updating the firmware, it was all fine and I saw the processing bar is running, but suddenly it stops and failed, let me click the exit and try it again. Then I follow the instruction for the second time, it says "This version of the WD Firmware Updater dose not support the attached drive. Contact technical support for assistance. "

The digital label on the drive was also fade out and the light on the drive is off even it’s connected with the power and plug into the Mac. Any other solutions for this situation? THX!!!
