Hi all,

My reletively new 1.5 tb disc has suddenly decided not to function as it should. Basically its being very tempermental, taking forever for files to show up and leaves me hanging for ages. Its saying I have 181 GB free along the side by the name of my HD is not showing up either. I currently and attempting to transfer my files to another HD temporarily by its currently taking about 4 hours to transfer 4.GB. I tried the repair/verify in the disc utilty it seemed Ok. Have tried on another mac and it it came up in red saying it couldn’y dis mount the disc, only on the second attempt it seemed ok.

I supsect i’ll need it repaired/replaced by I have a lot of stuff on thier I need.

Any advice will be most apprecitaed.

you did the right thing by repairing the disk

if it’s still acting up try a different cable

if no go replace will be the option

Did the replacement work? Is it faster/ Here 3 TB Disk My Book Live takes days to move internally 85GB from one folder to another folder on the same drive.

Well if you notice the op does not have your drive

you will have better help if you start your own thread on the right forum
