MY External Drive 1TB does not show up on my MAC desktop…it shows up in the MAC Disk Utilities but is says that there is nothing on it…it has not been upgraded…i plugit in lights on the drive are working …i have alot of work stuff on it any advice

I’ve unplugged it and swapped the USB cords now it doesn’t show up in Disk Uililties…HELP
