Thunderbolt duo green speed

Hello,

I bought a Thunderbolt duo in 2012 and it has perfomed fairly well so far running RAID 1 as my iPhoto library. However, if I run a speed test I generally get Read/Write results in the 85/95MB/s range. Other people tend to report around 120MB/s range for this product. I checked my drives and they are definitely WD Green 2 TB drives intellipower but 5400rpm versions. 

Question: Is it fair to say that the newer versions sold today of the Thunderbolt duo comes withe the faster intellipower capable of 5400-7200 to achieve the above +40MB/s results running RAID 1?
