I don’t have password security on a My Passport (1 terabite). I’m been using it as a back up for my iMac with OS 10.5.8 for about six weeks. I figure that I’d better secure the data it contains by requiring a password. How do I go this?

How are you doing the backups? If is with the WD Smartware, you will be able to setup the password with that software.
Also WD has a security app that will work with some of the passport drives.
What’s the model number of your passport?
