Remotely Accessing Time Machine

I have a My Book World Edition set up on my network and have just begun syncing it with Time Machine. What I hope to be able to do is be able to access my time machine without being in the local network. I've looked up other forum posts and it seems like this can be done, and it probably means I need to set up my network drive as a server. Unless there is an easier way, how can I do this?
