Passport all of a sudden not appearing on Mac (bought new one and same issue so not drive specific)

I have a 2tb Passport Ultra we’ve been using on our Macbook. All of a sudden it stopped appearing yesterday. The light still comes on and the drive runs. I bought a new one to double check and the new on also does not appear (on disk utility or anywhere else). So it must be something with my compuer. It’s plugged into the AC outlet while testing. Any ideas?

So I bought an extra WD My Passport Ultra and its not showing up on my computer ether. So multiple cables and WD Ultra’s and neiter are showing up on my computer. Any ideas?

Did you find a solution for this issue you having. I’m in the same boat. MyPassport Ultra stopped appearing on my MAcbookPro suddenly… Let me know if you have a solution. Much thanks from Holland.
