Hi - I bought 2 of these drives. The first one successfully backed up my mac with time machine. I wanted to use the 2nd one for archival photo storage, but it says I can only read it, and won’t let me move files to it. Any suggestions for what I can do, or is the drive defective? Thank you so much.
If the drive came formatted for Windows it will be read only on a Mac. Reformatting it from the Mac should fix it.

Yup… needs to be formatted
Or you can use NTFS 3G if you don’t want to erase all files and keep using as is
