My Book Studio Edition II - can't write to it

I have had this drive for @ 6 months and all of a sudden I can no longer write to it. I can read from it, but writting just isn’t happening. Has anyone come across this? It’s a 6TB raid 0 and I don’t have enough free drive space to copy everything and reformatt. Wondering if anyone else has had this.

Running OS 10.6.8

connecting via eSATA but can’t get it to work over USB or Firewire.

I bet you have some corruption on the drive.  have you tried running disk repair on it?

I have tried. Diskwarrior says everything is fine. Disk Utility won’t complete. The time it says it will take just steadily rises…

sometimes a bad cable can cause read/write errors.  You might try another cable and see if that works, but if you can’t access the drive over usb or firewire, then you may be stuck with deleting the partition and starting over.  have you tried accessing the drive by usb on another computer?  and do you have you data on other media?
