I have several My Book Studio 6TB and I am getting a rate of 75mbs writing and 95 mbs reading. I am connecting the drive, still in it’s RAIS 0 state, to the spare optical drive connection on my 2010 Mac Pro (as demonstrated here:   http://eshop.macsales.com/installvideos/macpro_2010_esata_m/

Is this data rate typical?
