Macbook not recognising My book

Hi

I’ve had the My book external hardrive essential for around a month now. Before today, it was was working perfectly, however, for some reason today, under the Devices pannel on my Macbook Finder, the My Book symbol doesn’t show up, so can’t access files that i added to that drive.

However, strangely enough, whenever i opened up the Disc Utility, it notices there. So i decided to repair the drive, and the following shows up :

Use a data recovery software to retrieve the files.

After that you can partition the drive again or replace it.
