My Mac (running OSX9won’t recognize Passport Essential 3.0 via USB3.0, but will thru a hub at 2.0? I have tried erasing , resetting (on both mac disc utitily and WP apps for mAc) , different cables, different OS’s , different macs. and I cant figure it out. Anyone got a suggestion?

It is possible the drive is not getting enough power from the computer. Try plugging it on the back USB port. Also make sure you are not using a USB cable longer than the one it was supplied with your drive.
Tried both things. Still won’t mount when plugged directly to the USB port. No problems with any other drive either. Just this one.
Anything else I can try?
