My book studio 3tb wont run on mac mountain lion

Hi

Im running 10.8.2 on a MacBook Pro 15" from  2011. All of a sudden my 3 month old WD My Book Studio 3TB wont appear on desktop and I cant access it. Tried to install WD update but as drive doesnt appear it wont install the update.

Tried drive on old Mac running Tiger and drive works fine.

I really need drive and data … any advice ?

Hi, check if the my book appears on the disk utility window.
