Its installed but back up does not start and can`t save anything

Hi there, if you can’t drop files to your drive then you have a problem.

Format it again on Disk Utility and make sure you set the drive to GUID partition table under the options of the partition tab. If Smartware is not working then you can use Time Machine, it’s the default tool your Mac uses for backups.
