I am trying to set up my MyPassport Edge (500 GB - WDBK6Z5000ATT 03) as a secure drive. I have set up a password … but it seems to have had no effect. When I search for help with regard to protecting drives, it seems I need Smartware … but I cannot find Smartware for Mac for the Edge.
Can anyone help? TIA.

Hello,
The WD SmartWare software is not available for Mac computers with this model of My Passport drive.
As a recommendation, you can use as a backup solution MAC own backup software or any other third party backup software compatible with MAC.
