Help with MyBook and new computer

I HAD a Mac.  But it died.  Now I have an HP Laptop.

I have the WDSmartware MyBook.  I dont remember if it was the one specifically for the Mac or not. 

I plugged it in to my new computer so I can get my old pics/files off of it.

And under Devices, I can see it. 

But I dont know what do do next.

Do I have to run anything or “install” the MyBook on the new computer??

Will it even work on this new computer?

If you used smartware to backup your files, you can install it again to retrieve them, you can also explore the my book manually and inside you will see a folder with the name smartware.swstor, inside this folder you will find your files, check the links below for more info.
