Green drives not RAID compatible?

I bought a 6tb My Book Thunderbolt duo  and, before use, did some checking of specs.  I found conflicting information.

The data sheet for the product says:

“Customize this dual-drive storage system to your needs – RAID 0 for speed, RAID 1 for data protection, JBOD to use the drives individually.”

However the data sheet for the green drives it contains says:
“Desktop drives are not recommended for use in RAID environments. Please consider using WD RedTM hard drives for home and small office 1-5 bay NAS systems”

Since I intend to use software RAID 1 I have concerns.  Do green drives work reliably in RAID configuration or not?

Hi, yes you can use the WD Green for the type of setup you want to use.

Support for WD desktop drives in a RAID 0 or RAID 1 configuration
