Hello! I started using my Hard Drive (My Book Essential 2TB) without the software on my mac. Recently I started to use the Smart Ware and everytime I connect it a dialog for an update appears. I have almost all the space full and I’m wondering if I can do this update without backing up my stuff or if that’s too risky? Also is there some way to start using the software fully? So I can see the gauges? Thanks!
Hello, if you refer to the smartware update message, if everything is working fine you don’t need to do it, you can disable the update message by clicking on settings/setup software/preferences, on the smartware window. What do you mean by using the software fully?
