I found a product code WDBS8P0020BBK-EESN for your My Passport studio which has disk 2TB!

But, according your official web site there is no such (2 TB) version of My Passport Studio. Is it a coming product or a withdrawn?

I’m looking for a external disk:

  • usb 2/usb 3/mini-usb

  • tiny size i.e. 2.5"

  • no external power (through the FW or USB)

  • large capacity (>= 2 TB)

I was not able to see it in WD’s web… but must definitely anxious to get my hands on something like that :smiley:

not sure about the usb 3.0 since Mac’s do not have that… but Thunderbolt is a lot better :wink:

If you make a study, that is not so expensive.

There is no other small but large hard disk drive available. At the moment. My current  one year old 1TB LaCie started to report errors, so I have to get new one soon.

Now I have ordered it and I will get my new disk in couple weeks, hopefully.

The thing is that I don’t really like the design, it’s not thunderbolt compatible and most importantly I don’t how much energy it consumes because the previous one I had ruined my laptop battery.

I hope they release their 2TB 2.5" soon because I really need to upgrade and there are already lots of other brands that do 2TB 2.5" HDs…
