Cannot mount WD Elements - blinking light

After over a year of reliable use all of a sudden I cannot mount my WD Elements 2.0TB external drive.    When I power it up I hear the hard drive spin up, but the white light flashes constantly and it will not mount.  I tried Apple’s Disk Utility as well as Data Rescue 3 but neither could see the drive.   I also tried two other USB cables and tried to mount it on 3 different Macs.   

At this point, is there any hope of data recovery?  Researched here and elsewhere and not sure what to try next.

You can try calling tech support to see if you can get a replacement power supply. If that doesn’t work you could try opening the case and connecting the internal hard drive directly to the computer, but doing that will void the warranty.
