I have a less than 1 year old 2TB portable hard disk that is failing to show in finder on both of my MACS.
All info on the disk is in FAT format and when first plugged into my MACS it will show in disc utility but I am not able to mount it or eject it. The light pulses for a while then just stays on,
The error message I am getting after attempting a disk repair is: could not read boot block (resource busy).
The information on it is precious - includes some videos of our children growing up so I am desperate to retrieve the information from it.
However given I purchased this item to store these files in a manner where they can be accessed I am not prepared to pay >$500AU to a third party to recover the information.
Could you please provide me with a solution to retrieve my data?
