I have a WD 2T portable for photograhy, It was coming back with a error when trying to write to it…said backup and reformat…I was able to move all but one folder and I’m now backedup, however after trying to earase and reformate the drive Mac Disk Utilities comes back with “unable to complete”…any help on how to proceed…The drive is less then 2 months old and useless now.

Have you tried to reformat the device on a different computer to see if it can complete the procedure.
