I have a 1 tB hardrive for windows, but i have a mac so i formatted it on my mac. Now, when i was copying files from it to another hardrive it crashed. I tried formatting it but i couldnt do it on disk utility. I tried partitioning it but it would allow me. Please tell me what i can do because its new, only been with me for one month. I originally formatted it to mac os extended (journaled encrypted).

Go to disk utility and run first aid
try removing the encryption and then partition the drive if possible
i tried partitioning it… but i cant. i cant even erase it.
Yeah, the partition is encrypted and unless the encryption is removed it will not let you do anything
