I’m not WD employee, but I like the idea.

IMO - it will be extremely hard to create. (I understand how operating systems work, so I see difficulties)

It means that USB HDD must emulate USB DVD-ROM somehow + loop-mount some OS ISO from the main hard disk somehow. IMO – very difficult to create such beast.
