I recently purchased a Passport Ultra 1TB drive to connect to my Netgear 750 router (which has a USB port for this purpose) to use for network storage but the router will not recognize the Passport at all. However, my Pasport 500GB works fine with the router. After much discussion with both Netgear and WD tech support, it seems that the Passport 1TB is simply incompatible with the Netgear router. If other users are sufficiently interested, perhaps WD and /or Netgear will develop some updated drivers so that these two excellent devices can work together.
This would make life a bit easier. second the motion to have drivers updated to do this.
