wdidle3 can be used on wd10ears: official reply from support

Hi, I’ve received this reply from the wd support, regarding the use of wdidle3 with the wd10ears hd, to solve the problem arising from the smart parameter “193 Load_Cycle_Count”:

“Yes, you will be able to use the utility with the drive even though your model is not listed in the page.”

I don’t know if wdidle3 supports also the wd20ears

my drive wd20ears made in 1 may 2010 is possible to use wdidle3 too

The thing is that sometimes the wdidle3 works with one drives and not with another, so is always better get WD confirmation.
