Western Digital Diagnostic tools can write zeros to the drive. That is more or less what you’re wanting to do I assume.

no problem using that option unless you dont have an hard drive to backup your data looool
Its not really like the old “real” low level formats, you’re just writing zeros to the drive. You’ll kill any MBR/GPT that is on the drive and in theory overwrite any data lingering there, at least to the point where casual recovery tools could recreate a filesystem(bearing in mind I’ve never tried to recover them, so I could be wrong).
