hello i recently bought myself a WD30EFRX but when i check diskmanager it said there is only 750 gb but it should be 3tb i formated it fast and normal searched al around the internet but i cant fix it is it broken or fixable?
Usually that will happen if the system doesn’t support the capacity of the drive. Are you sure that your system can support a 3TB drive? Also, when you initialized/formatted the drive, did you set it to MBR or GPT? For drives over 2TB, you need to use a GPT partition table. Another possibility is the operation system that you are using. For larger drives like this you will most likely need a 64-bit operating system that is Windows 7 or higher.
i already have a 3tb disk who works fine. but what did work was setting raid to ahci in bios i was able to see my 2tb but i think i did something stupid by not disconecting my 2raid hdd who i believe where set at raid 0 before changing to ahci did i lose that data :(?
