WD10EZEX - 00UD2A0 Firmware fix needed!

I decided to let a mate use HDDHACKR on my PC to change firmware for an XBOX 360 hack however he chose my MAIN HDD instead and now it thinks it’s a 120gb FUJITSU!!

How can I get it working again? Will changing the PCB using the same model restore the drives function?

Please help as I have many photos of sentimental value.

Mark

Your only hope would be to send it to a data recovery company to hopefully get the data recovered.

Trying to use another PCB board from a same drive might make it worse, since they are all “tuned” a little differently.

HDDHACKR generates an UNDO.BIN file. This file contains the drive’s original firmware modules. To restore the drive to its original state, simply rerun HDDHACKR with this file. DO NOT use an UNDO.BIN from a different drive, even if the model numbers and firmware versions are identical.

If you have lost the UNDO.BIN, then see …
