Hi there,
it is stated everywhere that WD Red drives are for NAS devices with up to 5 disks. I wonder why there is a limit. I have a Synology DS1812+ NAS with 8 disks (4x1TB WD10EADS and 4x2TB WD20EARS) and interested in replacing them with WD30EFRX drives. Is it possible, is it tested anyway? Is it a fact that they will not work in a NAS like that or not? If I replace the drives will warranty work?
Thanks,
iRon
