WD RAID Drive Usage

I’m looking to setup a software RAID in Windows. I use SSD’s for OS/apps and platter HDD for data. The RAID will only be for the data. Normally i’d use the green drives but I hear they may not be best in a RAID environment. However since this isn’t a NAS but rather a desktop, I still wasn’t sure if the Reds are the way to go.

Can anyone shed any light?

The link mentions that WD Red is not designed for use with Enterprise RAID’s but if you are going to use it in a home type environment, WD Red should work as long as the RAID is going to be 6 drives or less.
