The Lenovo Y40 comes with a 7mm drive. Does anyone know if the 9mm Black2 can fit in that computer? I just ordered a Y40 and am thinking of the future storage using the Black2

Perhaps Lenovo Support would be able to confirm if the aforementioned system can use 9mm hard drives regardless of brand.
I’d doubt a 9mm drive will fit, had issues with Lenovo’s before, when fitting SSD drives, if they have fitted a 7mm unit, you would need to do the same, but as already pointed out, best check with Lenovo
