Lenovo W510 and WD7500BPKT

hi All,

just bought a WD7500BPKT to replace the drive for my W510, but when trying to install win7, it does not detect the drive. any idea?

used the acronics align tool and it said it’s aready align.

First make sure that your computer supports the hard drive… If it’s compatible, check on the bios of the computer to see if the drive is detected

the BIOS detect the drive and Acronis can restore the backup to the drive, just it won’t boot.

so returning the drive.

Can you try installing a new OS on the drive?

just for testing

if it works, check the settings on the software that you are using to clone the disk

try doing a fresh install, win7 setup won’t recognize any drive and asking for a driver for the device. try loading the intel raid driver but no luck, don’t want to spend too much time on it.
