Hy, I have a S.M.A.R.T problem

Hy all. I have a wd 1600aajs and it has a smart error. a fryend bougth it and  gave me his pc because he bought a laptop.

He used the hdd 1 week, gave me the pc with the smart error and worked just fine for me 9 months with smart disabled in bios

Anyway, the smart error occures at the reallocated sector count:

 VAL: 49

WRST: 49

TRESH:140

RAW: 1207

this is the only error ,was this way when he gave it  to me,and it’s the same now.he told me he didn’t have any problems with it when he was using it,but smart was disabled, probably by the guy who mounted it in the pc.

Is there any way to repair this? i ask because i want to use the hdd in a imac g5 and  I can’t install any mac osx on the hdd because it appears with red letters in disk utility and says somehing about smart error.

is there any way to repair this,or does anyone know any way to disable smart  on mac computers?

P.s: pls excuse my bad english!
