How to format a WD4003FZEX 4TB drive into one large storage volumn

Windows 7  64bit  /  WD4003FZEX 4TB drive  / Cavalry USB 3 Hard Drive Dock

Can you please give me a step by step instruction on formatting this drive into one large storage volume. To be used with a Cavalry USB 3 Hard Drive Dock for photograph and video storage, will never be a boot disk - Thank you for your help, IM

These are the instructions for formatting an internal disk drive. The external enclosure may not allow you to format the drive as a large volume if it’s not compatible though:
