I recently purchased a CB500gb to go with my other CB 500gb, After formatting it and restarting my computer all it will do is sit at the windows splash screen and no go any further, there is a occasional tick noise roughly every 8 seconds. I can get past the windows splash screen if the additional one is not plugged in at all. I have tried multiple solutions and i am now tapped on ideas, I was wondering if anyone here has experience with this issue or if i may be doing something wrong?
I suggest you to try different cables to connect the drive, and if possible try in a second computer. If you still have a problem you may the drive back for a replacement.
I have tried different cables, including the one that connects my current working HDD. The second computer is a no go, at this point do you think a RMA is my only option? I was trying to avoid that if possible.
