One of the drives in my RAID-1 array is failing. As this particular model is no longer in production, I’m wondering what would be a safe option to replace it with. Hi placidb, Sometimes it can be hard to tell what drive can replace a failed one in a RAID array. A model that is close to the older WD5000YS would be a WD5002ABYS or WD5000ABYS. These are still an older model but you can sometimes still get them from online vendors.
