I wrote a small utility to parse MOD 02:

I have tested it with ROYL and Marvell (pre-ROYL) models. Hopefully it will be of some use to you. It is written in FreeBASIC. I have included the source code (I am not a programmer, so it will probably look ugly to someone who is).
